How do I start flying? |
We recommend that anyone who is interested in learning to fly take an introductory flight. This flight only costs $64.45 and you will experience what it feels like to fly an aircraft. During this flight, the instructor will actually let you fly the aircraft! If you liked the experience of the introduction flight, talk to one of our instructors. Be sure to ask all the questions you may have. Our instructors will be happy to answer anything you may ask concerning flight training.
How much is it? |
Flight instruction is affordable! The average price from start to finish is around $5,000. Remember though, this is an average, so it may be less or more. Our current rental rate is $89.00/hour for the aircraft and $35.00/hour for the instructor. Rhinelander Flying Service offers flight training financing. If you put $500 down on account, we'll discount your rental rate at $2.00 per hour. |
How long does it take to learn to fly? |
F.A.A. requires students to have at least 40 hours to get their pilots license. On average, it takes between 50 and 75 hours. As a note, the more you fly, the more information you retain, therefore it will take less time to complete. |
